Here let's dig this one out of the moth balls...

Been sick as a dawg for two weeks, just back out in the shop to work on guns in the last two days. Appears my beer days are behind me now, stomach struggles to keep it down. Maybe one more some day but not looking good.

Otherwise working an old Honda with my youngest son Michael and in general hanging at the house. Oh, and punching some brass.

This isn't all at my house, but what the heck.

Brett Bush, first cousin. Mother Carol Bush ran the parts department at Kuykendall Pontiac. Brett among other cars has the 1968 GTO that I bought buzzillion years ago in Muskogee, and many others. Does his own wrenching to a degree and family man, here shooting one of my AR's with us.

The GTO

My oldest son Shay; I couldn't be more happy with.

Big daddy working out his .22-.250, and this is where I threw my back all the way out.

My boy, Michael.

My Grandmother Margie Hoog AKA Doe Doe, her father is the proprietor of Kuykendall Pontiac.

My Uncle Greg Hoog, coe owner of Kuykendall Pontiac at one time, currently owns two 65 GTO's, 68 Firebird (black one back up above).

My wife Shaunna Sunday while I was down shooting and socializing.

Now this is a crazy story. Back in the early 80's a local friend of ours built a crazy nice Dodge Aspen, sold it, and went on about his way in life. In the last year we have reconnect; he is in Arizona, but some of us here in Muskogee had been trying to track it down for him, with no luck. Sunday night after shooting Michael and I are to stop by an visit old friend Charles Shoemake; and we also called to have Scotty Goodwin join us, Scotty has been neck deep in Pontiacs (mainly Trans AMs) all of his life. Charles is the one with COPD and Scotty has on the hat. As we are standing waiting for someone to answer the door; Michael points out and old hot rod is in the back yard. Can you believe it? That is the car. First as it is today, then as it was, the three of us that night. Below that is Scotty hunting Pontiac parts in Hollifields Salvage back in the mid 80's.

Few random time shots of my GTO.

Next pic has one of the few I took of Hope's (my oldest) Trans Am, the TA was originally raced by Muskogee's on Jimmy Potts and was one of the first street Pontiacs in the 10's thanks to some machine work by Len Williams to a certain extent.

Michael doing exercises on Doe Doe's bed thing Sunday night.

And last our upcoming Pontiac Drag thing this coming Saturday..... Love you all

Looks like your staying busy at the Hoog house. Really like the pics of your 69 GTO posted here and else here. Not to leave the kids out, teaching them right. Reloading, working on 3 wheelers, ridin mowers, and guns. The Aspen screams 70s but is cool, hope you find it.

DSL

On the Aspen you have to remember the kid that put it together grew up in the 70's and that was what influenced him, he was essentially done with it by 1981.

Few things to add.....

First when we go shoot, you will find this flying at my house:

Back in the fall I was chasing a lead on the Blue Aspen I ended up finding this 69 Charger:

And just so happens that very weekend I had stopped by a Braums for a meal; certainly you don't see every day anymore, kept some notes. I might have posted this here already; can't remember but better to again than not. I look up and this is staring me in the face:

And for fun I twisted up a photo of Michael and Doe Doe

Lots of cool stuff hanging at Steve's house.

First some videos.....

TVS Tech day warrants Dumb Ass Garage Roadtrip, notice TA and 64 GTO, nice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUkUGS2bTWg

Dumb Ass Garage Episode 1 Season 2, think I'm going to make a tribute Drag Race Sponsored fender out of the 68 Tempest, even thought we (Kuykendall Pontiac) never did it: https://youtu.be/2laKO3jQ7qc

Dumb Ass Garage Episode 2 Season 2, TA fender up now only leaving the Tempest fender as my sheet metal projects: https://youtu.be/Gnmt1Tn7JvY

I start my radiation process later today and am not looking forward to it, but I am looking forward to doing away with some of this pain. Please please please lord let this work!!!!!

Also new dryer is supposed to be here; after two weeks it will be a welcome sight, still a huge thanks to my grand ma Margie Hoog for bailing me out. One of God's angels.

The fender:

First step of radiation out of the way today, a little work in the garage, and a lot of pain.

Dumb Ass Garage Episode 3 Season 2, Video Vintage Dealership footage at the end, 58 new car show maybe. New car show used to be done at the Dealership: https://youtu.be/ql7ooqjKLXM

Once upon a time our family owned Kuykendall Pontiac in Muskogee; no one was ever into racing during the 60's which is a shame. So I decided to take one of my old fenders and put on it what I would have done at the time, with that patina look. More tomorrow.

Yesterday I pulled a groin and it is one very painful situation!

I start Radiation Monday, hope I can walk again by then.

I am nearly done with my Tribute Kuykendall Fender, and sprucing up my Tripower.

I really tore something up down there yesterday; hurt bad all day, most of the day in bed.

Video from today: https://youtu.be/fdWE43IYRQo

Still lack my Ames Tempest Emblem and one or two more fun:

And a stuck ball in a passage..

I think that is the same stuck ball I had a few years back when I worked on my tripower. I can't recall if I got it loose just soaking it of if I used some air pressure to get it out, but it did come out finally.
