Convertible Power Top InOp
On my 67 GTO the power top just stopped operating. Fortunatley it is up, Unfortunately it is 90 degrees in Detroit. There is a lot of tension on the top. How can I operate manually until I get it fixed? I will post in another area as well. Thanks.

You can do it manually. You need a partner on the other side. Each of you have to exert gentle and equal pressure and take your time so you don't bend the top frame. It will slowly open (or close) this way.
Why doesn't it work? If there is no elec., check the fuse and grounds. If pump runs but nothing moves, you may have a fluid leak from old lines/connections. These leaks can be by the cylinders and may not be obvious to identify without pulling the back seat and side panels to look. Good luck.

Thanks Fred! Ended up being a bad dash switch. Glad it wasn't the pump!
