Default '63 SD catalina in old Hot Rod magazine

I noticed this '63 Swiss Cheese SD for sale in the August 1973 issue of Hot Rod. Anyone know this car? I wonder where it is now.

The '62 SD I posted a while back, it was in the November 1974 issue.

My ex stole all my old Hot Rods (been slowly replacing them though) and I can only imagine all the goodies that were for sale in a period before my time.

Where's that time machine when you need one! LOL!

That car I was in either HPP or Pontiac Enthusiast awhile back. It looks to be all restored if my mind is working correct. I will have to look at my back issues to see if I can find it and give more information. Pat

The 63 looks like the Royal Pontiac 63 Swiss Cheese car, It belonged to the Heck Brothers (PJ/Vance) for awhile (maybe this is where they found it at) it was featured unrestored years ago in HPP magazine, was bought and restored by Steve Banker for the desert muscle collection, it's now owned by Bob Knudsen (sp?) That 62 was recently featured in one of the pontiac mags, as that ad was mentioned in the article. suppose to be one of the most low mileaged, mostly unrestored SD cars out there!

Rocky Rotella wrote the article. If you look at the magazine you'll see my name credited for furnishing the picture.

I was thinking of the 62 in HPP in April of 07. I am unsure of the 63 now, would have loved to be around then to pick up either car though. Pat

the 62 was owned by Pete McCarthy at one time. Was found in a garage in Pasadena and had a car club plack in the rear window.Terry Webber on this board owned it and sold it to George Knevvelbard. He sold it a couple years ago and Rocky wrote the article about it.If you see it a a swow, look for the holes on the pass side of the package tray.Tom
