Default 1972 Luxury Lemans 4 speed

Hello! I am new here and wondered if anyone can help me find production numbers for my Lemans. I have a 1972 Luxury Lemans with a 350 2 bbl and 4 speed it is light metalic green with a black vynil top and black bucket seat interior with console and all original except for the cragar ss wheels and in very good shape. I have sent off for my PHS documents and did not know if anyone would know the numbers or where I can get them. Thanks!

72luxurylemans,
Welcome to the Forum. I contacted Jim Mattison at PHS back in August regarding your car (at that time I had been thinking about buying the car). I have a letter from PHS that states 1,932 LeMans and Luxury Lemans came equipped with the wide ratio 4-speed transmission. Unfortunately, Mattison could not narrow down that number specific to the Luxury Lemans. If you would like a copy of that letter, I will be happy to e-mail to you. Just PM me with your e-mail address. I can also send you a copy of your PHS if you would like. By the way the color of your car is color code 14, which is called Revere Silver,...........I know it really does look more like a light green color rather than silver.

72luxurylemans,
Just remembered something else I had researched at that time. There were 269 manual transmission '72 Luxury Lemans produced. I found that number in one of my Pontiac books. However, there is no breakdown of how many were 3-speed versus 4-speed.

Default Picture's

Hey Bryan, Thank's for the picture's look's good. Hope mine look's that good when restored. I see your only a hour and fifty minutes away. So if you need anything let me know. Iv'e collected alot of N.O.S. including grille's and side trim. Hope to start the resto soon. I take it your car is non A/C car that's fairly rare on Luxury Leman's. Any other option's on the car? Lyn.

Lyn-No problem. I will keep you in mind should I need some parts. My car is a non a/c car and has manual brakes 4 wheel drum. I am very suprised at the combo but it does has power steering, go figure! I am new to Pontiacs and have sent off for the PHS documents and was provided with a preview from Pat which I am still decoding. My car is in really good shape but needs the panel under the rear window replaced and a fresh paint job and some serious cleaning to be 100% but it is a really a good solid car. I like it but wish it was not such a rare odd duck as I was planning on making a ground pounder out of it but not now after learning it is one of 269 built in 1972. I would like to see yours if you have pics. Take care-Bryan

Default What's it worth? Anyone interested?

Hello! I must say I have had more fun finding out about this car than any other car I have owned. I am not looking for Barret Jackson price but does anyone have any idea what this car is worth? I have to say it is worth more than some and not as much as others but being that it is a surviving 1 of 269 1972 Luxury Lemans with 4 speed built in really good original condition, what are some guesses? I am thinking about selling and trying to find a ground pounder more of a street machine as I am not really in to the "original" card. Please let me know what you think. I have toyed with putting it on ebay and seeing what it would do after finding out the info on this car? I did not know what I had purchased until joining this form and getting the PHS documments. I was looking for a "street machine" when shopping and thought I had found a good start but I hate to change this car at all. Thank you!
