Default driveshaft question
Hi, I'm new to the site and currently restoring my 78 400 4 speed Trans Am, that I have owned since high school which was 20 years ago if you're wandering. What I'm wanting to know is was the driveshaft originally painted or was it bare metal? Thanks

Drive shafts where bare metal. There should be a couple identification paint stripes on it so the factory knew what engine/trans/rearend combination it was for.
