77 TA Undercoating Question?
I just purchased a 77 TA SE with 24k original miles. The car has surface rust on the frame and I'd like to stop the rust from advancing. I don't drive the car in the rain for one. I was told if I undercoat the chasis and decide one day to do a frame off resto, the undercoating is a bear to remove. Someone suggested a rust blocking paint to be sprayed on to the frame will do the trick. What is the way to go here?

Under coat is a mess. Cleaned and painted properly will look great and stop the rust.
There are several good spray rust stops availible that can be painted over. You still need to clean it good first. Stop it, don't cover it up. |

I like the Eastwood Extreme Chassis paint............its pretty chip resistant.

The only paint I will ever use for chassis parts is POR-15. It is a great product, easy to use and it won't kill you if you breath the fumes. Jmho.
