Default Trans Ams and Firebirds in Movies/TV? Name them!!

The thread about the paintings of movie and tv scenes of T/As got me thinking. How many movies can everyone name that have them in them? I would like to start a movie collection of these cars.

Here are the ones I know for sure. Just counting 2nd gen.

Smokey and the Bandit - 77 SE
Smokey and the Bandit 2 - 80 SE Turbo
Dazed and Confused - '74 455 SD
Cannonball - 70
Old School - Will Farrell had a red '77/'78
Rockford Files - pretty much had a new firebird every year
McQ - 70
That Darn Cat '97 Disney version - Peter Boyle had a red '78 in the movie and I know where one of them actually is.
Made - Jon Favro drove a black '78
Rocky - 79 SE

I'll walk away from this and start thinking of more...

I believe Kid Rock drove a Bandit style in Joe Dirt. Not sure of the exact year.

Default Firebirds In Film

There was also the movie "Detroit Rock City" which came out less than 10 years ago --- a solar gold '78 T/A (just like mine!) gets a pizza slice thrown at the windshield, just before the car itself is driven into a ditch by a trio of "KISS"-crazed teen fanatics on their way to Detroit to see their musical heroes...

There was also a late 70's / early 80's made-for-TV Gavin MacLeod vehicle (the original "Night Stalker" investigator, in case I have his name confused with that of the captain of "The Love Boat"!) wherein it's far into the future, cars have been outlawed, but our hero Gav has hidden away a post '78 T/A, and proceeds to break all the laws by racing it --- alongside a 'Cuda, I think --- around the desert, to the chagrin of the authorities.

And don't forget "Apooh" (the Simpson's East Indian variety store owner) who owned a post '78 red T/A, or "Snake's" (the adult delinquent in the Simpsons) late 60's Firebird.

More will come to mind later, I'm sure...

What's that one with Kevin Spacey, where he's doing his daughter's friend and the next door neighbor's son is the local pot dealer? Didn't he buy a red one in that movie?

On edit: American Beauty, 1970 Firebird Formula

1986 "The Wraith" with Charlie Sheen

While trying to find out what year model "Johny 5" took apart in "Short Circuit", found this site.

I forgot about Joe Dirt. Kid Rock was driving either a white or silver 79 - 81 T/A. The Kid Rock video for "cowboy" he was driving a black '79. There is some country band that sings a song called "Johnny Cash" and they are in a black '79 in the whole video.

There was a Mountain Dew commercial about 3 or 4 years ago where two kids were driving a black '79 and they did this stunt where they flipped the car and the kid stole another kids mountain dew with his hand out of the T-Tops.

There were 2 more episodes of My Name is Earl with T/As. One had a guy that was driving a red '78 that took his dad's mustang during a drag race, the other one was where they were going to the county fair so Randy could see the Smokey and the Bandit car. They were driving it towards the end of the show.

Ryan Dunn of Jackass had his own show for a while last year, there were a bunch of scenes of him driving around L.A. in a real nice black '79 SE.

The T/A in McQ wasn't a 70, it was a Brewster Green 73 with a D-port 455 and no hood bird.

Just remembered another one.

Not sure if any of you guys watch any of the cartoons on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, but on Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, X the Exterminator drives a black '78. Its a cartoon, but its hilarious and the cartoon black Trans Am just makes it that much better lol..
