66-67gto headers, when i 1st did this back with my old grand am(see hpp august 2000 issue)i had 3 tubes in there, then we did a dyno session at kre and by just changing to 4 tubes we picked up 20-30 hp, unless you are going to put 4 tube headers in you might as well use stock manifolds, the drivers side header from almost any pontiac looks like it will go right in, but it wont, you have to bang on the drivers side firewall to get it in,not alot but some, and the you have to trim the rear control arm mounts down some, and then heat the tube up that hits on the pass side and give that a whack.its not fun and not pretty but it works, and i,ll take a banged up set of 4 tubes over the 3 tubes any day.i cant remeber the part number but they were heddman headers for a 66-67 gto,and they werent very big 1 3/4? maybe 1 7/8,i used them again when we did the shootout in the jan hpp,my big motor went boom,so i used my buddys almost stock 455 and had to drag those headers out again, if you can find a set of the i a headers get them, and if someone has a set of roundport ias for a g body i,d be interested in them,if they are new or coated, mine are getting old and pretty rusty, and until someone decides to make these things again i,ll have a custom set of 2 inch made, i dont think i can figure out what roundport headers would work, but i looked at some maddog had on his website i,d try, that is if he wants to send a set over and lemme bang away, good luck guys!!!

i used a set of 68-72 a-body headers and had to do everything onefast said to do, plus move one pass side tube around the rear, lca mount. i thought about getting a set made, but i know within a year or so, i will have some nice round ports on there

Called Butler Performance today to see if maybe they might still have a set of IA headers left . Guess what ? Said they did not have any and that every set they sold came back because they would not fit!!! So ordered the Hedmans from Summit today .

if you guys find a august 2000 issue of hpp there should be a shot or 2 of the engine compartment and one of the lower end of the control arms,or if you go on hpp website and go to the shootout section, norwalk part 4 there are some pics in there,my car is downstairs in the garage and if you need some pics i get you some, but i have the roundport headers back on,.but at least you can see were to cut and the bang mark,i cant belive the butler remark about the headers, my buddy bought a set before ia went under and they went on great last year, he finally put his 400 in and they are dports

Looks like the value of the 1-7/8" D-Ports I made went up. I have a pair of 1-5/8" D-Ports that I modified when I first built the car upstairs in the shop if someone wants them. $75 plus shipping.

I'll bet there was only 6-8 G-body cars at Norwalk racing and we had the only round ports heads in a G-body car there.

Hedmans came in today , guess that is what I use for now. As soon as I can get my buddy's SD T/A out of the shop gonna get the GP in and pull the fire breathing 3.8 out and start the 455 install . Got my Moser 9 inch last year and rear disc's off a LS F-Body , adjustable upper arms & 3.50 posi . Got a 10" TCI converter too ! Been out for about 6 years so ready for some Pontiac Power again ! Wish you you guys up north were closer , really would like to see your stuff in person instead of in the mags !

ONEFASTLEMANS we may have the samechassis and color but my car is faster! I just need to win the lotery so I can put a tube chassis under this thing and sell you my chassis. Heck if I was rich I would give it to you (the chassis that it)!

I have a round port g-body but did not have the car there because of gas prices. RA462 tire is more than twice the tire than mine. Mine is only 28x9-15.

Thanks Mike
