Default motor mounts for a pontiac 350 in an 83 gp

so i bought my wife a mint 83 gp for xmas, even it's 3.8 buick slug is in mint running condition. but that won't do. i found a really nice running pontiac 350/th350 combo locally (i know it's not a 400) for cheap, and thought it'd make a nice mild street combo for her new toy. anyway, i know the motor will bolt right in, but i'm not sure if i need pontiac specific motor mounts for it. i've found tons of sbc g-body mounts, but no pontiac ones. i think that the 301 was offered in the g-bodys, which would tell me that it's mounts should work on the 350. anyway, if anyone can confirm this, thanks.

The Lemans wagons had a 350 engine option, but I don't know if it was a Pontiac 350. I also don't know if Pontiac 350 and 301 mounts are the same, but I seem to recall they were.

The last stock Poncho V8's were in 1981. In this forum, there are quite a few G body owners who dropped in larger ci Pontiac V8s in them. They say that the 301/265 Pontiac motor mounts work with other Ponitac V8's.

Few people are more enthusiastic than I about the natural Pontiac V8 but If it were my very clean GP i would keep the 3.8
83 GP is a nice car, 3.8 buick is a great motor for a driver. Id keep the car original at least until the 3.8 wears out. Problem is it will likely outlast the GP.

78-81 301/265 mounts will bolt up to a 70-78 Pontiac 350 for sure, I don'y know if they will bolt up to certain 67-69 blocks with out adaptors, depending on what chassis F or A the 350 was originally put in to. If it is a 70 or later engine, with either 5 or 3 motor mount holes drilled you will only need the brackets that go around the captured style motor mounts to bolt on.
Keep in mind I do have a 80,000 mile 76 400 4bbl and a t-350 trans that came out of a 76 GP that was running well when removed from the rusty car 2 years ago. You could have both for $500.00 USD if you picked them up. I am only about 30 minutes from the Bridge.

Thanks guys. I discovered that the 350 is a 325hp 69 block, which will require adapter plates. I have located and purchased them already from thepontiacman, right here on performanceyears.com. She'll be layin' rubber by the spring. Just hope the 7.5 2.72 holds on. Yikes.
