Default NORTHWINDS/VICTOR

I thought I seen numbers somewhere they were running the two intakes on the same motor on a dyno. I can't find It anywhere. Did anyone else see this or was I on drugs.

It would be interesting to compare a Victor intake that had the carb flange milled down about 0.650" to mimic the North Wind intake.

Id also be curious to see the same CNC work done to the Northwind to really compare apples to apples.

I'm very happy with Northwind intake - fit better then any victor I installed and with the lower height, filled in a need for street cars with stroker cranks and good heads. I used it as is.

Just used one for a 495 cid (4.55 with 4.5 stroke) with KRE high ports for a pump gas street strip guy.

I'm on the fence. I have the Victor already, and it was indeed a pain to make fit. (I need to modify it again too to fit the new valve covers). However, Im looking at getting it ported for the new engine combo and wondering if the ported NW would be better. Im thinking I'll stick with the Victor. I dont like adapters to make the Dominator fit.

Not to hijack the thread, but since we are here, for CNC porting or an intake, is SD the one to beat, or are there other places to get this done with equally stunning results?

FYI - The North Wind comes in to carb flange versions. 4150 and 4500.

...and the North Wind is a little less expensive then the Victor.
