Got Problem....Taillights come on when turn on lights....both blinkers work...but no brake lights when I put on the brakes.....what could it be??

Any number of things....start with the fuse.....dome lights out, too? Same circuit.

Yep, fuse firsst, then stop switch near the brake pedal arm. The circuit then goes thru the steering wheel harness to the directional signal switch. Doubt if it's the switch tho since your directionals work ok.

Follow your brake pedal up until you find the brake switch. When the brake is in the resting position the front of the brake pedal pushes against a plunger on the switch. This keeps your brake lights off. When you step on the brake the plunger activates, closes the circuit and makes your brake lights come on. Sounds like the brake light switch is either faulty, not properly adjusted or disconnected. To adjust it just slide it in it's bracket to get the proper setting. If you move it completely away from the brake pedal your brake lights will come on and stay on.Hope this helps.

just remedied this issue on my '64 by grounding all the bulbs by "tweaking" the sockets. JMHO.
