400 Intake
I am getting ready to pull the Performer intake and Street Avenger Holley off my 68 GTO and install correct factory iron intake with Qjet. I am sending my HEI dist to SunTuned to let him bluprint it. While I am waiting on my dist to come back, is there anything I need to do to my intake, besides cleaning and painting it before I bolt it down. I had forgot how heavy they are. Any tricks or tips I need to be aware of to install it? Thanks

I used a Dremmel tool to smooth out the ports and carb bowl as far as I could reach in there (dirty work). Not sure if it did anything as far as performance is concerned but it sure made feel better

Ive gotten in the habit if cutting the water crossover off to help in port alignment. Other than that I haven't done anything else.

OK, I'm most likely going to embarrass myself here, but I can't figure out what ya'll are calling the "water crossover". This is a used intake I bought off our buy/sale forum and somebody may have already done this to intake. Thanks, Mike

The water x-over is where your radiator hose connects. The x-over goes from head to head and the hose attaches in the middle.

Just bolt it down, it'll do the job just fine with no mods whatsoever.
