hello,i have a issue with my fathers car.its not a pontiac,but a 1957 olds super 88.
it runs rough on idle, and when i rev it up. if i put my hand slighty over the carburetor, and restrict air coming in,it runs perfect. what should i check for? the carb have been rebuilt, problem not solved. new sparkplugs, wires, coil.i have checked for vacuum leak, have not found any leak. im getting grey hairs ouver this... |

Check your float adjustment, spray carb cleaner around intake to check for vac leaks, check timing, and post in the correct section next time.
