Default Another wide pedestal lightweight spoiler found!

I was fortunate to find this wide pedestal spoiler, got delivered today. Its rough, but repairable, all studs present, weep hole still visible. My spoiler has a hole punched through the top, and is split on the bottom, its repairable, but this one wont require as much work. Its even the right color!

My 70 still has it's original wide pedistal spoiler. I did not realize that it had that version til recently, I was suprised that a nov car would have had that. I am sure somewhere on here the rough cut off dates have been discussed. glad you found one, sounds like it will make your life easier. Mark

Thanks Mark, this one will definately be an easy fix compared to my October car's spoiler.

What are the dimensions on wide pedestal spoilers?

Same front to rear dimension as the narrow mount, 4 7/8". Width is 46" vs 41". The widemounts studs line up with the flat spots/punched holes on the underside of the decklid, they only go through the outer sheetmetal. Here's a pic of the underside and my car with the broken spoiler(reason why I needed another, and the reason why they made narrow mount heavies). The second design spoiler was lightweight like the wide mount, but with narrow mount pedestals, no seams. Jason's white "Barn Car Resurrection" Judge had this. The third type is the most common, its heavy, has the seams and is narrow mount, and is reproduced.

I am home this weekend and went out to the garage to verify my spoiler and I was wrong, I have a second design spoiler light weight and 41 between the legs with no seams. For some reason when I looked at it a couple of weeks ago I thought it was a wide pedistal, even though for years I had thought it was not, so for years I was right and the last 2 weeks wrong. Mark
