Question Moroso trick rear springs

I am wondering if anyone has heated or cut a set of these rear springs to lower the rear of the car?How did it effect 60 ft times and was it worth it?

i dont believe you want to heat them at all.... cutting is another story...
i think that is ok though... in my opinion, stock springs are the way to go...
My 62 Cat has original springs under it, 50/50 Comp Engineering shocks, airbag in passenger side.... boxed uppers and lowers with the upper mounts moved up 2'' or so...
Top control arms are shortened(passenger side shorter than driver side to create preload) and i have aluminum bushings with steel sleeves in them. Car does 1.57-1.58 60fts with 3.90 gear and real mild 455. 10'' converter also. Did you get rid of your stock springs?

I run stock coils too, just alot more stiffer then my stock ones and taller too.
Brent, Do U still run a sway bar back there too? I have adjustable uppers too now , about how much shorter is your pass side for preload? Where did u set your pinion angle at? I am thinking about -2 or -3?

I still have my original springs,so you think I can cut them to get the car on the ground and run an airbag in the right rear it should do ok?

Darby, i believe -2 to -3 is optimum... its been awhile, but i think pass side is somewhere between 1/4'' and 1/2'' shorter.

GTO2nv... i would think that cutting the spring wont change your spring rate(which is real important)...you must really be sittin real high to want to cut rear springs... most cars ive seen dont set that high with original springs. BUt, yea, as long as pinion angle is -2 or -3, you should be ok. Rigidity is key in stock suspension, so boxed control arms are a must with good traction and lots of torque.
