I'm restoring a '69 GTO. The exterior color is Champagne. I'm having a hard time finding the correct color carpet for it. The carpet had been ripped out of it by a "crook" who had the car for only 5 months!! (Who knows where that's at!!) My friend and I removed the interior and door panels luckily before we took it there. Now all I have to compare colors with is the carpet strips on the door panels. I've received several samples from some major parts suppliers PY and Legendary & SMS Interiors. None of which look anything close. Could someone tell me what colors of "Gold" were used in the interior??? I've gotten light & dark Golds. The door panels are darker than the dark Gold sample I got. To the best of my knowledge the door panel carpet has never been changed any time. My wife's father was the second owner of it. The first owner only had it for 18 months. Thanks Guys Tom

Unfortunately you can not always get an exact match for colors that were used over 40 years ago. If you can't find an exact match, I would consider getting the closest color match I could and order enough carpet material to replace the carpet on the bottom of the door panel. At least it will match, and once the car is done it will probably look just fine. Good luck.

My '69 has a Gold Interior also. I am attaching a picture of what the new carpet looks like. I believe it was from ACC - I can check the box at home if you would like to make sure. Hope this helps.

I have an antique ext with 252 gold interior. The original carpet in it was pretty dark, not even close to the picture shown here. Legendary will send samples if you haven't done so already..you might ask for a brown instead of gold ?
