Good luck to the new owner of the Ventura II! Sold the car after 13+ years. Look for it on the Hot Rod Power Tour in the future as it's currently being re-configured as a Pro-Touring ride! Last edited by 71 Ventura II; 06-20-2011 at 01:15 PM. |

Well, when I had it I ran M/T ET Street 29.5/9.0/15 on a Centerline rim 8" with 5.0" backspacing. He's running the same rims but went to a 26" tall tire.
NOTE: Rim's, tires' and back spacing are unique for my car! The rearend is a Ford 9" out of a mid 70's Ford Granada which is 3/4" each side or total 1 1/2" narrower than the factory 8.2 10 bolt. All it took was a mini-tub, 1/2" solid spacers each side, no mods to the frame or spring mounts. If you run a regular 7.0" Ralley with 4.0" BS it centers the tire very good as well. Naturally if you used the rear offset shackle/hanger setup you could run a much wider tire. On my car MAX section width was the 11.4 ??? or what ever the 29.5/9.0/15 tires have mounted on the 8" rim. JD
