Default Pypes street pro vs. violator

I have the street pros on my gp right now and they are to quiet for me and I want to swap them out for the violators. Are they the same size and does anyone have any they wouldbe willing to trade?

Hi Wonder if they fit 65 GTO? If you wanted to sell. Jon

I just installed a new Pypes system with Street Pros on my 67 Firebird. They are quieter then I thought they'd be and was also considering swapping for Race Pros. But if you go onto the Pypes webpage and look at mufflers, it actually says that Race Pros are their quietest mufflers.

Yeah, for loudness, the Violators are the loudest. My buddy with a 355 Chevy in his Chevelle has the Race Pros, they are really quiet at idle and sound more like a newer/race car when he flogs the gas.

Default RACE PROS

I have a set of RACE PROS with maybe 10 miles on them.
They are VERY LOUD with out the XPYPE.
I took them off for a set of Street Pros
I know this is not the proper forum, but if you want to talk more about removing them from my garage please e-mail me.

i have Street pros on both of my cars.
its the X-Pype that quiets them down.
my orange car, without xpype roars. (stock 455) 2 1/2" pypes.
my blue car, with xpype has a quieter, smoother sound. sounds like a newer car? 2 1/2" pypes.
they both sound great.
