I am looking for a block or complete motor correct for a 76 trans am with Ac

Block code will not denote if car had A/C or not. You want a YS or YZ block. No 455 ever came with an automatic in a 1976 Trans Am so if you want a 1976 T/A 455 you will need a WX code.
