splash guards
Can anyone offer tips on putting on the front fender splash guards on. They staple to the inside of the wheel well to protect the a frames. I bought some and they came with staples but I'm at a loss how to put on the staples so they bend like the factory ones did and not just fold over. Any help? Thanks

I'm dragging up a pretty old post here but wondering what you figured out for this? I'm about to paint my inner fenders and wondering what I'm going to do about the staples on the splash shields. I'm assuming it will be hand pushing them through then try to shape them with a hammer and pin or something to get the shape. Sure don't want to damage the paint, but can't see how I wont. If there is an easier way to do this let me know.

When I did mine I started the bend with needle nose pliers and backed up the staple with a dolly and used a body hammer to bend it over and I covered the surface of the hammer and dolly with masking tape to prevent damaging the paint

Thanks for the input Darren. That’s basically how I figured I’d have to do it, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some easier way.

I drill tiny holes just the size of the staple poke them through and curl them over with needle nose pliers so they look original
