Digital Camera
The old Kodak, died on me, and tight as i am..........was wondering if any of you guys had these two models.
Fuju Film Jx 370.....$69 14Mega Pixal 5X Zoom Canon SD 1300.....$87 12.1 Mega Pixal 4.2 Zoom Just so you know my camara stuff..........i turn on...........shoot...........and put on computer, nothing more, well maybe a zoom in here or there, nothing else. Any ideas on some low buck stuff you guys been using.........i much rather spend the money on pontiac parts. If you have any better models, let me know........ Thanks Rich |

I have an older version of the Canon and like it a lot. Easy to use, durable, takes good photos. If there is a problem, Canon has good customer service (with service centers in the USA, so no language barriers.) They do use a specific battery pack instead of AAA batteries, but the battery lasts a long time and the camera comes with a charger. I can take a couple hundred photos on a single charge, if you need more than that you can buy a spare battery (it's about the size of a matchbox) and keep it in your pocket.

Spend the $18 and get the Canon. I see cameras quite a bit for service and the fugi ones are junk.

I use a lot of digital cameras and over the past 4 years have purchased nearly every brand of inexpensive camera. Probably had the best luck with inexpensive Kodak units. Had a couple of Fuji's but they didn't last long. I have a Canon for my personal camera and like it a lot.

12 meg pics, you will be reducing every pic to send , or post.... FYI.
Open them in paint and resize, if you dont already know.. Good luck!

If you'd like to resize one or as many as you want with a single right click, without opening any new programs or web pages, download Microsoft PowerToys Image Resizer (if you're running XP), or the 3rd-party solution that mimics Image Resizer (if you're running Vista or 7). Microsoft PowerToy Image Resizer for Windows XP: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ads/windows-xp (In the tabs underneath the 4 pictures at the top, click PowerToys. On that tab, click Image Resizer.) Image Resizer for Windows (for Windows Vista or 7): http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ Probably my favorite and most-used add-ons ever to the Windows operating system.

Another handy tool for resizing photos is Irfanview, it's a free download that's easy to use. You can resize a single photo at a time, or do a whole batch. It also has some editing tools for cropping, adjusting color, contrast and sharpness; it's not as powerful as Photoshop or something like that but it works well for these kinds of tasks.
The thing to do is save the resized photos separately from the originals; smaller photos are best for posting online but you may want the high resolution originals for printing or other uses. |

My preference is the digital cameras with the classic looks (not pocket size) and changable lenses. Like what 68lemansman posted. |

@68lemansman
Black & White is a setting in the menu, on most digital cameras. Just go through the menu options. Greg |

I have Photobucket set up where all my pics upload 640x480 so they are already sized for forum use!
