I think thats the look they were trying to get.

its from the Year One Firebird they built for that girl from overhaulin

I think all they did was get the plain aluminum horn button and cnc the logo into it.

Looks great.

much better than the arrowhead ones that Grant has available

I dont know, I would think a CNC would be a bit nicer, due to the texture and depth from the machining, but a decal wouldnt be too bad

Just out of curiosity I sent Year One an email asking about this button. I'll post back when I get a response.

Was also curious if a front fender emblem with the studs cut off would fit on the horn button. Could use a good epoxy to "glue" it to a plain button.

I would think it would be too big, but who knows, might be worth a shot.

Ok heard back from the guys at Year One. Turns out this button was CNC'd. But, it was made by the brother of one of tha magazine guys. So, I may not give up just yet. I may try and contact the folks at PHR that did the story and see if I can find who made it. I don't think that person realizes what he has made and the popularity it may have for our little part of the universre. I did locate a guy where I work that makes wraps and such and can make me a vinyl stick on if I want to go that route. Will update this thread as necessary.

awesome.

In the mean time I will work on an autoCAD drawing or a ProE drawing to use in a CNC machine for anyone interested.

What was your method?? Would be curious if it would work on Grants blank billet horn button. Would alos be interested in how the whee centers turned out. Might want to use them on my centerlines.

Im not sure, it really depends on the software that runs the CNC setup.

Almost all I have used some type of CAD
