Default 70 GP Vinyl Top Clips and Studs

Hello Forum Members,

Here is my problem and I hope someone can put me in the right direct!

My 1970 GP has just been painted. The previous owner removed the vinyl roof and grinded off all the studs for the Vinyl Roof Clips.
I would like to re-install the Vinyl roof, but I am not sure where I could get replacement studs or screws or even the plastic clips for the moulding?
(Last year I recieved an e-mail for a guy in Texas, he mentioned he had replacement screw, but unfortunately I lost his contact information. Hope he reads this message).

So if anyone could tell me where to find the replacement studs or screws and the plastic clips for the roof moulding, it would be appreciated.

Thanks Grant!

I knew I asked that same question last year I just couldn't find the tread. Much appreciated!

I got my screws from Ames Performance Engineering when I redid my top. Just checked their website and they have them # PG291 (100 screws for $4.50) Not sure where I got the reveal clips. I'll keep looking.

Found the clips in the new OPGI GP catalog. They're called Exterior body trim clips.
Not sure of size, check part numbers A22985 or A10318. One is 5/16 the other is 1/2 in.
Measure your top trim for size. I don't think this is where I got mine because I know I had a box of 100 and I think they came from an ebay vendor.
hope this helps

you can also get the stud welder from Eastwood and weld back on the studs. I got the clips at Napa. The one I go to has a book with clips you can order. Pat
