Default 1962 Tempest parts

We picked up our 1962 Tempest this week end. This will end up being a race car so we will be stripping alot of parts out of it. No motor or trans in the car. The car did come with the factory AC and most of it still exsists.
If you are looking for a part please let me know and I will see if I have it.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you must have an electrical problem.

Thank you Rick.. I really appreciate this. What happened with its too nice of a car to race & going to keep it all original except for the drive train?? I guess a little white lie is ok as long as you get what you want. Good example to set for your son. Hope you sleep well at night. I was nothing but straight forward & honest with you about that car & my desire for it to stay original. You even said you had changed your mind & were keeping it original because it was too nice to race. I had several other offers on the car but decided to sell it to you because you wanted a father son project & were keeping it original. I even offered you a rust free stripped roller body ready to be made into a race car. Guess thats what I get for being a honest nice guy!!!! Good luck with your parts sale & have a good life!!!

Keith, it’s very disappointing to read this post. Rick, I hope you and your son change your mind back to keeping it original. Factory AC is a rare option you do not see too often in these cars.

Keith,
You misunderstand what I am doing. My version of a race car is keeping the car looking stock on the outside with high preformance parts under the skin. There will be many parts currently under the skin that will be removed or replaced. If someone else can use them I would like to make it availble to other Tempest fans.

If you look at our current Pontiac Firebirds they look stock but are extreamly fast and we do race them. I am not into hood scoops, spoilers, and sponser stickers.

To me the AC will require more work and money than it is worth but for someone else it may be just the part they are looking for.

Have no fear. She is in good hands. I thinks it will take 2 years to make her pretty again but she will get there.

The car is going into storage for the winter until we figure out what parts we are using and what parts will be availble for sale. I will post when we know more.

All my leftover parts were donated to other Tempest owners
