Default 70 Judge parking lights and dash lights come on when brake pedal is pressed

Suddenly my Judge has developed this weird problem where if I mash the brake pedal the brake lights come on but so do the front parking lights and the dash lights. Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks.

One easy thing to check is to make sure the 4 way flasher button is not pushed in.
I've seen them with the 4 way flasher removed & switch pushed in cause that problem.

A bad ground to the brake lights will cause this as the bulbs then try looking for ground though the parking light filament. Check where your brake lights plug into the rear panel. They ground through that connection.

GTOfreek is probably correct. A bad or loose ground will make a lot of things go weird.

It can also be something as simple as a bad parking light or tail light socket. It can connect the brake/signal circuit with the tail light circuit. OR - like my dad did once, put an 1156 bulb where an 1157 bulb belongs then have the same thing happen. The contact sits between the two socket contacts and it connects them all.

Sounds like a bad ground. Check the ground in the trunk area and make sure the brake light bulb filament is not touching the tail light bulb filament.
