LOL!

Cardboard here too most of the time. I have a gravel driveway and moving the jack around is a pain in the *** most of the time - a creeper wouldn't move at all.

As for what do I have? I have one each of the long wooden craftsmen and the padded metal square tube, 8 wheeled, put together ones - I like the wooden one better.

Cardboard here too. Once I started using it years ago, the creeper was given away and the carpet thrown out. It's insulating, cushioning, easy to slide/move about and absorbent. Best if all its free. I cut it and stockpile it from appliance boxes, etc. Dirty? Throw it out and grab another.

Creepers are just a pita from my experience unless you have a glass smooth floor. Even then, they eat up precious clearance when working under a vehicle.

I use cardboard, too. Not only does it let me slide around much better, I find that I have to nearly max out the jack stands to let my fat ass roll around on a creeper.

I should have added that I have a THR/crushed sciatic nerve/recently broken knee/chronic pain that will require medication for the rest of my life. At times I can have a hard time getting up and down from the floor. Sliding around on cardboard get to be real tough on my back under the car when wrenching.

I'll have to go back and dig out the plastic creeper that I found. It was cheap/tough/very low/had tool troughs.

I don't use creepers myself as I get a little claustrophobic, but I've heard these Bone Creepers are supposed to be excellent. http://www.summitracing.com/search/d...s?autoview=SKU

The boneones are a little hard to get in and out of, and they don't have as much clearance. I have one, and I prefer using my old one that has an adjustable head rest.

X2.

I've had and used several. At my new job one, just like the picture, was there before I got there this March (Thank You Lord, for this NEW job again!!!). It looks cheapo, being all plastic, but w/ 6 wheels, BUT works very well. They are sold by nearly every automotive parts stores, Sears, etc. Saying that, the one I use was from NAPA, on sale it was/is around $80.00, worth the money. I'm not getting any younger either, OMT...
