air bags for my 58
looking to remove the air shocks on my 58 cheiftian that the previous owner installed and replace with air bags and good shocks.air lift 1000 dont show an application for a 58 pontiac,but they do show one for a 58 chevy.anybody know if they would work ? or does anybody know of another brand i could check into.

did you ever find out info on bags for your '58? I was thinking of doing the same for my '58 and was wondering the same thing....

Best thing would probably be to get the rear spring height and diameter and give that to the folks at air lift. They can tell you the right bag for that application. Here is the height, but I didn't measure the diameter...
16 1/2 inches is what my springs measure. Part number 5288258. Standing upright, to the highest part of the coil.
