Newtown may need your help.
It's been a rough couple of days here. The entire town is living a bad dream. On a personal level, two families we know well lost a loved one.
Our family got out of town for the afternoon to visit with family and brief respite from the drone of helicopters hovering over and constant reminders of what happened. One of the first things I see when I get back on line a few minutes ago is that the Westboro Baptist "Church" is planning on picketing here in Newtown!  http://www.examiner.com/article/conn...ning-to-picket These scumbags would like to make an extremely difficult time even worse. Contact you local VFW and let them know. They are very well versed in dealing with them. There are other groups that would be more than welcome to help I am sure. My thoughts go with you and yours on this.

In Mississippi, when those knuckleheads came into town to protest, the locals all parked pickups behind all of the cars in the motel parking lots that were from Kansas or wherever they are from.
Prayers for the people in Newtown for sure! |

There is one group who likes to "play" with the Westboro Bigot Church: http://www.patriotguard.org/
They were formed to keep the bigots away from military funerals, but I would bet that they would be willing to help out the citizens of Newtown. Checkout their website, and get in touch with them. Yeah, Hell's Angels REALLY don't like the Westboro gang. Einstein, you might have missed it, but a couple of the Westboro boys got handed their arses in Paducah a couple of years ago. Got a LITTLE too mouthy at a gas station and the good ol' boys
hammered them. Local police didn't show up until the "perps" were long gone.

Jeremy, I saw that they were talking about showing up. At a time like this I suspect the police just might turn a blind eye if something were to happen.
Like mentioned above, the Patriot guard loves this and will help out, if invited. I also suspect that Bud and Phil will help gather other friends that will help provide a shield from these idiots. |

I cant for the life of me see what good these wackjobs think they can do for grieving families,except make a bad situation even worse.
I say organize a blanket party and "invite" them to it. This all needs to be nipped at the bud so the families can grieve in peace. Some one needs to become a mole in their "organization".

Publicity for their cause(whatever that is). In essence, the "church" is a family of lawyers that sue ANYONE that trys to stand in their way of preaching their version of the Gospel. It's one of the downsides to the First Amendment. Too bad we don't still live in CT. I'd be more than willing to help.

jeremy, already i personally know of at least 200 plus that are ready at a moments notice to block!! members from the ct riders, the ct patriot guard, old school bpt, and my car club the dead end boys are ready and waiting, trust me the turnout will be MASSIVE we WILL be a human wall, we WILL block and we WILL do it to honor the little angels of newtown! you have our word on it!!!!!!!!!

After contacting all the local athorities we have been told there are no known protets for tonight and have been advised to stand down tonight. The prez bieng there makes it harder to secure but we will be updated for any possible protests. Again.... We will peacefully block in honor of the angels whenever need be.
