Default Superbowl Champion Ravens

Somebody ask where all the Ravens fan are? They were at the victory party and parade at Ravens stadium today.

Much as I wanted to attend the festivities today, prior engagements kept me to watching updates on local TV.

Power to the Purple!!

Not at all! But seriously, a lot of local businesses were closed today. And I know several people who kept their kids out of school to attend the festivities. Much like opening day for hunting season in many rural areas. Except local schools weren't actually closed as they are for deer season.

And in case anyone wants to stereotype Baltimore ....

Three Stabbed, One Dead After Ravens Victory Parade In Downtown

Updated: Tuesday, February 5 2013, 10:26 PM EST A teenager is dead and two others are hurt after a stabbing in downtown Baltimore. It's bleak news after a day filled with festivities. It happened just before 2:00 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Howard and Fayette Street near the Ravens' Super Bowl victory parade route. Detectives say the victims, ages 15-to-16, were involved in some sort of fight. Robert Summerville, of Northeast Baltimore, said he was leaving M&T Bank Stadium when he walked up on the scene. "I seen them scuffling and fighting but all of them got up and scattered," said Summerville. "I looked over and everybody was surrounded, a little young guy, young guy," added Summerville. Police call it an isolated incident. Anthony Guglielmi, the department's spokesman says, "the victims knew their attackers. We believe this stemmed from some sort of fight." Police say one of the victims is listed in critical condition and the other is expected to live. Meanwhile, police say the department's surveillance cameras have provided detectives with good evidence. Investigators say it's not yet clear if the incident was related to the Ravens' parade but it did happen when so many others were downtown celebrating. "What we're going to do now is we're going to find out who did this," said Guglielmi. "We're going to find out who did this on a day that Baltimore was going to celebrate. We owe it to the family and we owe it to the city."

Howard and Fayette...about 10 blocks away from the best trauma center in the world.

How ironic.

Welcome to Baltimore, Hon.
