Default 69 Front grille, bumper, headlight surrounds assembly

I bought a 69 basket case and I'm trying to figure out how the front bumper, grille, headlight surrounds and other parts all go together. Can somebody post an exploded diagram of these parts or tell me where I can find one. Thanks

Ah yes.....the dreaded '69 front end. Mine was a nighmare. With the help of a witch doctor, four leaf clover, and my dad's tireless efforts, it is passable.

I think the '69 bird front end is what caused the GM strike in early 1969; right?
Do yourself a favor and purchase the ASSEMBLY MANUAL for $18.00 as printed by Millenium Industries: offered in our host's catalog as item #RFL 55.
It has exploded views and part names for alot of components.
Its better than the shop manual for restoration purposes.
Good luck and be prepared to walk away a few times to keep your sanity! The "gap gremlins" show up in full force!

X2 on the assembly manual. Two of us had it done in less than four hours with no issues. However I had the advantage of taking mine apart also.

Thanks to Bascom123 for the info I needed. It doesn't look like to me its going to be that hard. One thing I think will help a bunch is all of my parts appear to be original and have marks where the nuts. bolts and washers were before. I think I will loosely assemble it using these marks and see what happens. Where is the biggest problem area? Can I assemble everything except for the pieces that need to be painted and the bumper of course? Thanks

Unfortunately I concur with what a PIA the front end is! I had to take off the passenger side headlight bezel to have it painted (reason why is a story for another day) and when I finished I wished I had sent the entire car in and had it taped off. To this day there is only 2 screws holding it on instead of the 4 that should be there.

lineing up the outer edges of th headlight bezels with the leading edges of the fenders so they match up also the point of the hood where it matches up with the batwing.this will require adjusting several times to get it right.you will get it done but its frustrating believe me.
