Default Windshield Date Code Placement

Hello Everyone,

I picked up the windshield for my 68 GTO today. I used a company that claims to have done windshields for many top flight restored cars. Well... when I look at the date code placement I was a bit confuse. They put the date code on the lower passenger corner, etched and readable from the INSIDE of the car. Therefore, if you look at the date code from the outside of the car, the lettering is backwards. Does this seem right??? This company says there were done many different ways.
