Fried headlight wires on 69 gto
So I pulled out my switch and got a nice plum of smoke. I checked under the dash and found the wires behind the switch cooked. Do I have to replace the whole dash harness to fix? Does anyone have a good diagram of the wiring for a 69 gto

If you had another harness you could cut off the connector and solder and shrink tube the new connector on.

I have an excellent wiring diagram for a 69 GTO. Purchased from ClassicCarWiring.com. for around $20.

AT this point, you should take the opportunity to put your headlights on relays. The total cost is less than $40.00. I would replace the switch for another $20.00. Best upgrade possible.
Buy the relays in bulk on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-PACK-12V-...887c5c&vxp=mtr Cheap switch. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SMP-STANDARD...8068f2&vxp=mtr Replace the headlights with Sylvania EXTRAvision bulbs. You will think its a new car. The high beams will allow you to see into the future!!!
