67 Firebird front bumper question
Hi guys, I'm sending the bird out for paint tomorrow and I'm trying to find out if I have a factory front bumper or not.The bumper I have is stamped Made in Canada, has two weld beads about 6 inches from the center both top and bottom and measures 1/10 th of an inch thick. The cost to re chrome is $350.00 and an aftermarket is $249.00 so if its factory I'd rather re chrome it,but if its aftermarket I'd rather buy one for $100.00 less. Any ideas, thanks

I dont remember any welds inside a factory one
perhaps its been repaired.Make sure the soften the edges a little bit as thats normally where it will start to peel in a few years

My thoughts were also a repair, but I think going with the factory bumper is way better then an aftermarket one, plus I'd have to drill the holes for the 400 bumper.
