Default Front and rear suspension detailing question

Going to rebuild my front end on my 69 GP, remove and detail front upper lower control arms and all of the steering components, add rear sway bar and boxed control arms in the rear and replace U joints. Everything is spray Bomb black over grease and surface rust now, would like to make everything look correct. Anyone know the correct finishes or can point me to a thread?

Thanks for any advise

i don't know if it would directly relate, but i'd search the "judge" section. I've read some of their threads including undercarriage restoration. they can be VERY detail orientated.
