Front sway bar difference?
I'm changing my 65 Cat steering box to a 14:1 ratio. Don't like the mussy feel of the stock box. While I'm at it, what has been anyone's driving experience with a front sway bar. Any noticeable difference for cruising around?

You'll love a big, hefty aftermarket front sway bar. Makes a world of difference.
I also like the poly bushings for added stability. Jim

What about a used swaybar?
There is a swaybar for sale on this site in big car parts. Would you call that sway bar big and hefty?

somebody can correct me if i am wrong here, but the stock standard suspension had a 3/4" bar and HD had a about just under 13/16" bar so the 15/16 (not sure what that one is from?) bar being sold would be a large improvement, but not as much as the 1 1/8" bar that is being sold by addco or RARE.
So you can either buy a 15/16 bar for $80, sand it down, paint it, buy end links, bushings and save a little money, have a pontiac part and have improved suspension or you can buy the addco 857 bar from RARE, ebay or any other place (it's the same one) for as low as $167 (on ebay now) that include the end links, bushings and brackets that my impove the handling a little more for some more money. I have not looked what busings and links cost, but appears to be about a $50 call on what you do. Either one would be an improvement. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Addco-857-Fr...1fdd64&vxp=mtr Just my thoughts.
