Could be either engine. Gimme tranny info and I can help.

FWIW, if it's a stick, it could only be the 400-4.

220 400-4 cars were built, of which 161 were automatics.

For some reason, I don't have 400-2 numbers?

778 LeMans Sport ragtops came with the T41 nose.

298 A-bodies came with the 400-4 and T41. 405 came with the 400-2 and T41. This is for all bodystyles although ragtops are the second most popular car with T41 after the 2-door hardtop.

Diego, you seem to have an excellent and most useful source of production figures. May I ask do you have a private source for these figures or or is it an accessible source?

Some Pontiac guy names Fred Simmonds purged the production records about 25 years ago, and I have collected the info that he laid out. Additionally, I have managed to scour the records he did at the GM Heritage Center, picking up a few more details here'n there.

Diego, is there a breakdown on the 4-door LeMans (I believe that's model 23739) with a 455 and T-41, with two-tone paint?

Yes, I know, pretty specific, but just thought I'd ask.

Mike, the breakdowns don't go that far, just 455 D ports in the 4 door hardtop.
Several of us have had copies of all the '71 A-body sheets that Fred S tabulated & then released, since the early 90's. The '70 & all the '72 sheets, its only been last few years that have been able to download copys, mainly from messages with Diego! That has been big help.

Cool doc, Diego.

Would you have the Formula broke down more?

I show 166 manual tran 455 HO in Formula with the 7 M13 3 speed being there.
Your data pic shows it was from the combined Formula/Trans Am, which may have some of the TA's as having the 3 speed M13.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you Diego! That's what I was looking for!

If I read this right...

1971 LeMans Sport 4-door total all engines (95)
1971 LeMans Sport 4-door with 455 (11)

Specific breakdown of the T-41's with the 455 H.O. (23 of 36), which means there were (13) non-455 H.O.'s with T-41 across all three LeMans Sport models.

Correct?
