At only 477 ci that really is awesome! Did you ever dyno your engine? For my simulation I am using around 1270 HP and torque 980. For my simulation to some what match your run I had to pull power out until about 87 feet out and then had it shifting into second at about 101 feet out. Stan PS - I would guess that you are doing this running less than one bar of boost.

When I simulate Kinsler's 8.42 N/A run he has over 2 G's down low
60 Foot ET = 1.1675 330 Foot ET = 3.3967 1/8 Mile ET = 5.3293 1/8 Mile MPH = 126.6948 1000 Foot ET = 7.0071 1/4 Mile ET = 8.4242 1/4 Mile MPH = 159.7267 When I simulate your run you have just a little over 1.5 G's If you get your car to hook like Kinsler's 60 Foot ET = 1.1642 330 Foot ET = 3.2924 1/8 Mile ET = 5.1296 1/8 Mile MPH = 133.3245 1000 Foot ET = 6.7235 1/4 Mile ET = 8.0694 1/4 Mile MPH = 168.1848 Note this is still at 3900 foot DA. Where you pulled the power out is close too. I was using a RPM based retard curve and that is prolly right around where the power started coming back in. Quote:

Very cool car. Get it moving man and let's see a great number. I'm looking foward to it.
Get it going and drop Big Chief a note. He claimed to be leaning the CV-1 way, you might be able to share some info. Good luck and that's a cool car. Well done. |

As long as I dont make some stupid tuning mistake I think the car will do well. I'd like to see someone else boost a set of cv-1's but I'll bet Big chief ends up with billets if he has issues with the e-heads. We'll see... |

Stan, back to the original post. I'm betting Brian is not blowing more than .6 bar on his engine.

1 Bar = 14.5 psi .6 x 14.5 = 8.7 psi of boost. (Add 20 psi to that number and you would be close with the CV-1 heads). Tom V.

Only if the cam and exh system is a pos and I'm betting it's not.
I'm quite capable of running the conversion of units but thanks for doing the donkey work for us. Thanks for your input omniscient one. |

Maybe everyone else cannot do the conversion so easily Aaron, some think a Bar is 14.7 psi. Just passing on info. Why would you need a F-2 supercharger if you were only running 8 psi of boost. The board is not all about you, Aaron.
Low 8s on 8 psi, Right. Tom Vaught

Thanks for the 1.4% correction on pressure conversion for those who aren't keeping up on the board.
That would be 9 psi using proper rounding techniques with your engineering math bro. lol Quote:

PSI absolute vs psi gauge.... last time I looked at psi it was on a gauge, engineers always thinking... LOL leave it to a technician to build it and use it.
