Need some help on this one. There was some sort of assembly attached to the front of the rear quarter window on my 64 post car that was made of chrome (IIRC) and had some nylon parts that kept it centered in the vertical flocked window channel. I need two. Anyone know what I'm talking about and is it reproed or does anyone have them? Thanks, Skip

I think you're talking about the stainless trim that goes over the forward edge. on the bottom is a nylon part riveted in place. Not made repo. You need originals. Do you have the glass? Several years ago I was checking and no one was making the side glass. It's not flat glass, it's curved. If you buy used glass, it will usually have that stainless part still on it.

Brad, thanks much for the heads-up. I found what you described in the parts pile. I had no idea what they were but have them both. I can't find the original tinted glass that I'm sure I had. You stated that no one is reproing the glass but I found some in the Ames catalog. Parts J139PL & J139PR. I have an early car (10/30/63). There were no holes in my original glass. Are these not the right ones for my car? If not, I guess I'm looking for some tinted glass for the car. Thanks, Skip

When I was last looking (and I was looking for clear), no one was making it and none was available. It seems they may have found a source. Back then it was a matter of having enough demand to make a run of glass.
64 Post coupe glass does not have any holes. It's correctly held in place with glass mounting tape. The pic they show in that catalog must be a late 60's or early 70's piece.
