Yes,
A 3- circuit is a direct feed from the fuel bowl to the carb & is a constant feed into the engine due to the engines vacuum draw.

With the car parked Idle can be fairly stable but underway can become unbalanced as for most part people try to compensate with the idle mix screws.

The 2 circuit is best for drag use.

3 and 4 circuit carbs have a place in the performance community. Many times it is not on a street car or a typical drag car. I worked on a NASCAR carb one time for Ford/"others" that had 8 circuits built into the metering block. Very specialized deal to play games (during caution laps - note the venue -) and save gas.

They had emulsion holes everywhere Jeff. **

I will send you the excel file with the emulsion hole locations sometime.

** Course they had an independent "Yellow Flag" circuit for each barrel too.

I run a 1050 dom 8896 3 circuit modified to a 2 circuit on my street strip car. It idels great and maintains good a/f's under all driving conditions. If your worried about running to rich and fueling down your oil you should invest In an a/f gauge.
