Default Awesome 65 3x2 3.90 unrestored on eBay

Sharp color combo with P-o-P and matching numbers.
I've seen this color combo before locally on a 65 4bbl 4spd car and it was one heck of a good looking car.

The seller is a member here but doesn't post very often.
Wish i had more coins in my pockets.

I agree that Teal Turquoise looks sharp on a '65!

The paint looks really dark in the Ebay pictures.

Very sharp car. Very unmolested, too. It needs to be put back on the road!

Seller says Elizabethtown KY. Wonder if it is a Hardin Motors car originally - doesn't someone formerly associated with that dealership have original records and sales papers?

here is his offer of GTO and Judge and '69 T/A records to anyone interested....

Yep - that's the same color as my car in a different light. That's a fun ad to pick apart. I notice that the front seat covers for his "original interior" are reversed, there's no way that "survivor" paint is original, and his "very original" car includes power disk brakes and that a/c compressor. At least it has the "very rare" automatic.

Chris, the car posted has the correct seat covers, installed correctly, does not have AC at all (or power steering), is not an automatic (appears to be a 4 speed with console and pedal intact, and appears to wear original paint. No sign of disc brakes, either. What car are you looking at?

I think maybe someone has mixed up the two Teal 65's that are on ebay now.

The Tri-Power 4 Spd. 3.90 car that started this thread is a cool GTO and needs a good home. The "other" 65 is......different.

Jeff, kinda looks like someone added another pinstripe below the original one (if it is still factory paint)??

That would make a fantastic companion to my '65 Malibu SS L79 car.

He probably would have made mention if it was sold new at his Dad's dealership.
The 68 Ram1 he is also selling was sold new at his Dad's place.

Is the PHS Billing History included in the Photobucket pictures ?
I can't do P-bucket stuff with my internet connection.

On the ebay listing it says he has put the PHS on P-bucket now.
Could someone load it on here as an attachment ?

Would like to see if it has the 778 or 779 transmission code.
And if 778 , if it has code 592

Thanks !

For the 65 GTO or the 68 GTO?

The one posted here above is for the 68.

Thumbs up Decal

I used to have a couple of the wing windows with this decal. I pulled them for wrecking yard cars decades ago.

I can't locate them but they are cool! Only on some 65's.

If you could find one of those there'd be a little market for selling a repop. Little, but worth serving. Never seen one of those. There's probably enough info in the picture to scale a pretty close replica.

But it does have 592 - so probably is 778 Close Ratio

I've never seen one of those vent window decals either.

It is definitely 778. It is fuzzy and one has to look close but it's 778. What the heck is 592 though?

Probably shoulda pulled the vent window to keep. I could try to get better pics if anyone is interested.
