Now that racing season is over, I was able to get back to addressing some things that I've been putting off on the Tempest. I really needed to pull the suspension and repair and coat a few items. I had my friends who do the parts coating on the funny car do a satin black on my rear control arms this past week...picked them up over the weekend.

Looks really nice! So Vincent, did you get an extra set to use or removed your originals? I remember back we were talking about getting a couple sets done, I've yet to take my extra sets down to get powdered.

This pair is the extra set I had...I wanted to see how close the satin black powder coating is to some of the other OE satin black painted parts. I'm getting ready to pull apart the front suspension to have those control arms blasted and coated since all of the bushings need to be replaced anyway.

A few progress photos of the suspension restoration and disc brake conversion. I was finally able to get back on the Tempest now that my shop truck project is at the paint shop and off of my lift. I pulled front crossmember and had it stripped, baked and powder coated along with the control arms, strut rods, sway bar/brackets and center link. I'm waiting on a set of springs, power steering hoses, and tie rod adjusters to button up the suspension.
