Default Bucket seat help 67

I'm working on cleaning up my seats and looking for a little help. PO recovered the seats and did a lousy job. Left out the bumpers, spacers, used wrong screws, and did a poor job of attachment at the hinges. I'll get it straightend out and can get most of the parts except need 2 of the brackets that the back cover clips on at the top. Where can I find those?
Also PO did a heavy coat of silver paint on the metal covers. What's the best way to strip this paint without ruining the grained effect? Thanks.

I believe... but not 100% sure... the grain effect is in the metal. I lightly wet sanded mine up with 400 sandpaper. If they were plastic backs I wouldn't sand them at all.

Aircraft paint stripper will work. I believe you can get that at PepBoys or Auto Zone.

I used the aircraft stripper on my seat backs as well. The grain is in the metal. I have two brackets if that will help you. Post this in the parts wanted forum and someone may have two or even all four.

Thanks for the advise guys. I'll go ahead and strip the paint with Aircraft stripper. Let me know, fyrffytr1 what you need for the brackets. My seats had one on driver side and one on passenger so two will do. Greatly appreciated!!! Steve
