1967 Grand Prix
Well it is time to sell another car in my quest for a Judge. Thought I would post here though it seems not a lot of "buying" takes place here. However I welcome the feedback and most here would appreciate the car for what it is. I will try to post up a video like I did for my 69 LeMans (that car was sold and went to Finland).
1967 Pontiac Grand Prix, 400 (original), AFB, bucket seats, console, automatic, PS, PB, A/C, PW, PA, remote trunk release, custom seat belts, wood wheel, door edge guards, fender skirts, soft ray glass, safe t track axle, 17 X 8 Torque Thrust wheels with 255/40/17 tires. Mostly original with some modifications. Excellent paint, new vinyl top, carpet, seat covers, package tray, suspension work, rear axle rebuilt (original), transmission rebuilt (1965 model year turbo 400), etc. Very nice driver, reliable and road worthy. A/C blows cold, no heat (heater core bypassed – Florida car). No rust, floor pans are clean and solid, same for the trunk, everything works great. Aftermarket radio in console where ashtray was located, nothing cut. Receipts for all work and PHS. I have lots of pictures if you need to see more. Just provide me an email address. $18,500 Home 321-253-0161 cell 321-794-0774 Mark Cronk Last edited by MCronkGTO; 01-13-2015 at 09:44 PM. |

Wow, Talk about a pimp mobile. You come out of that car with a limp, like an old school pimp. In a good way. i like it.

There really doesn't seem to be a lot of activity on the big cars.
I found a 66 GP, running and driving, with 8-lugs advertised locally on CL for $2500. It doesn't look that bad, the quarters may have mud but they're not showing rust. I posted it on this board a few weeks ago thinking somebody might have some interest, but not a peep out of anyone. Mike |

My experience on this site is most people are buying only if it is well below market value. More people come here for parts and advice than to buy a car. But you never know until you try! Funny thing about the LeMans I sold. It was on here, then ebay (1,200 views and 51 watchers but only one bid). I decided to put in on Craigslist and kind of forgot about it then BAM! A guy contacted me and at first I thought it was a scam because his English was terrible. However he turned out to be a prince of a guy and my Finnish was a lot worse than his English! LOL!
The problem with big cars is they are expensive to restore. Not as many parts are reproduced and the good used parts can be expensive (again hard to come by because most were scrapped). That is why you want to buy a very nice car that is basically done. You will be ahead of the curve. The bottom line is everyone has an opinion but the reality is it only takes one person to buy the car. MarkC |

Saw it in Dayton in '13. Very nice car, ready to cruise. Bought my wagon off the PY forum which I believe is the best place to start looking for a Pontiac. Good luck with the sale!

I like big cars. I've owned a couple of 69 - 70 GPs, a 67 2+2 convertible, a 62 and a 63 Grand Prix.
My dad had a 66 2+2 a few years before I got my drivers license. It broke my heart when he sold it, I was really looking forward to driving it in a couple of years. Mike |

Thanks. I have been getting some response from Craigslist. However I am a little leary when someone wants to buy a car without ever seeing it or actually talking to me about it. They were willing to purchase through PayPal. I don't normally take PayPal except for parts sales. I thought I heard there were "problems" with using PayPal. Anyone used PayPal for payment for a car?
LOL! Just googled PayPal car buying scams and this inquiry was definitely a scam. So sad. MarkC Last edited by MCronkGTO; 01-15-2015 at 10:40 PM. |

Don't take cash either. Way too much counterfeit money floating around. Insist on Bank to bank transfers, certified money order, etc... Something that is absolutely guaranteed.
Gorgeous car.

I went ahead and posted this on ebay. Over 60 people watching the auction and more than 750 views. I guess there is a lot more interest in these big cars than some think. However we will see if anyone actually wants to buy one!
