Performer and Holley Carb
IIRC the intake is drilled for both spread and square bore carbs, correct? Any general problems associated with bolting on a 750DP, other than the linkage and different fuel entry?

They sell an extra plate but I never had problems with my 750 VS sealing.

I think they still sell the square flange plate to help seal the gasket to the spread bore intake. I always used the plate for piece of mind. I figure it helps support the holley base plate a bit more for an easier seal. I never like cranking on the nuts too much as they can distort and sometimes crack.

Use a 1" or more spacer if possible with that combination. The carb butterflies stick pretty far down in the intake when open and hurt the transition flow.

I did have to massage the center divider for butterflies a little but I think that was for the Q jet. I have that on now. Ran the Holley for a few years on the 81's 400 Performer
