The massive rotation looked really bad an hour ago, coming across HE Bailey turnpike then across S Canadian River heading into W Norman. Was on my Ipad after sons ball game and it looked plain nasty May 3 99 nasty. Rain wrapped tornado that came down in NW Norman did some damage, but not near the damage that was expected. Second Supercell is building right behind it.

The Bandit Run is stopped just west of there in Clinton. Just spoke with a buddy of mine thats on the BR, he said they're all in for the night in Clinton but forecast is hail there. They leave for Dallas in the morning, hopefully they'll be alright.

if your friends group wants to stay out of the mess on south I35 in S OKC and though Norman, the group might want to detour S, well before you get to OKC. I've driven many times from Hinton OK, through Anadarko, then S and through Apache, then slightly back west by Lake Lawtonka, then picking up I44 north of Lawton. Driven it many times in my black TransAm, lot of windy roads I44 can then be taken south skirting Lawton S across the Red River to Wichita Falls, then S of WTF will hit Decatur and can head east to Dallas. Lot more fun than boring I35

Well this storm is just about to hit Tulsa, finally. Here we go! Like we need more rain; I had to wear my old dairy farm boots (waterproof) to take the trash to the curb through 3" of standing water.

OKC got in excess of 6 inches of rain yesterday in a 12 hour period? How does that happen?

We never complain about too much rain...but

A fellow Pontiac enthusiast in Norman was right in the middle of the storm/tornado path. A power pole is leaning at a 45 degree angle over his back yard shop that houses a 72 455 HO T/A. He's a little concerned to say the least.

So far, no reports of fatalities!!! Although several are hospitalized, some critical.

WORST news so far is that we are to expect more of this weather, getting worse each day, until Saturday, w/ Saturday being potentially the worst day of weather. Man, I'm prayed out right now!!!

All prayers welcome!!!

I should be OK.
Our record 2.6 mile wide tornado May 31st 2013 dumped something like 10-11 inches of rain here, in a couple of hours. I'm in an area that is some what low, but was not in danger in 2013.

The biggest rain last eve. was mostly east of me, although many friends were affected. My buddy in Norman was one that came w/ me to Tulsa.

Stay safe guys, praying for no more rain.
Hoping to get two more regional ball games in today, before the rain comes in.

Yes!
He's needless to say a little frazzled over the damage to his place. He heard the some storage units somewhere were destroyed. He's hoping it's not where he has some Pontiac Parts!!!

Good to hear Phil is alright, pray his storage is fine and the power pole doesn't fall. Am headed in a few minutes to Norman to ck on a few large trees at rental property... always fighting their limbs and the soil is mainly sand. Your mentioning storages, one of my old buddy's (longtime Buick GS guy) used to have a storage deal with the owners of an old motel on east side of the I35 around where the last tornado hit. The owner had gutted the rooms of fixtures and my buddy had a room stacked with musclecar parts. Would have been really bad deal, if he still had parts stored there.

I'm glad to hear everybody's OK. As for the rain, we got 7 inches in ONE HOUR during a storm last month.

Been blessed today and yesterday!!!
Had monsoon rains yesterday from 3:00 till 7:00, NO stink'n tornaders, same today.

NONE of the predicted gloom and doom, predicted. Thanks for all prayers!!!

However we did have one fatality, from Wednesdays storms. A 42 year old woman drowned in her cellar, the incoming rush of flood water trapped her inside, got her sadly.

Navigating flood waters is never easy, but can be a little easier to do when there's not a bunch of tornado's bearing down on you!!!

Friend in Norman got utility pole replaced that was over hanging his back yard garage, made his day!!!
