Default 75 Trans Am with 70-72 Stripe Package

I am looking for pictures of a 75 Trans Am with a 70-72 Trans Am Stripe Package. I had a HPP magazine years ago with a Red 75 Trans Am with a 70-72 White stripe on it and it looked good. I have a White 75 Trans Am and want to put a Blue stripe on it. All replies appreciated.

That's it! I think it looks great. Anyone else seen one done this way?

LloydTX from Houston area had a 74 or 75 that was red with the early stripe on it as well. Maybe he'll chime in and post some pictures.

Hey Bob and all - gto4door alerted me to this thread. I'll bore y'all with a bunch of pics. As you can see, it was a '75 model.
Started life as a 185-horse 400 screamer, then a '71 455HO/TH400 transplant was done, and finally a built 455SD. Ran best of 11.80's with the SD motor.

I have hundreds more, but alas most are not yet digitized. These were all shot during the early to late 80's.

Sold the car in late 1990, and never have seen it since. I've ALWAYS wished that I had it back . . .

And more . . .

Please note the multitude of wheels and tires I used on this car through the years.

Drag racing, street racing, cruising, autocrossing and Autorama were all in it's repertoire.

Did you sell it with the SD engine in it, Lloyd?

Sort of . . .

It was actually an .030"-over '70 "XF" GP block and crankshaft, SD rods, those awful TRW 10.9:1 pistons with the "knobs" machined off, Greg Goode ported 455SD heads, a Lunati solid flat tappet grind (and I cannot recall the grind), at first a '71 455HO intake and a 4910 SD Q-Jet. Hooker super comps and a home-brewed 3" dual exhaust into 2.5" Sonic Turbos. TH400, 10" converter out of a small-block Camaro, and a 8.5" 10-bolt with a GM posi and 4.10 gears.

Later I installed a Torker II and an 850 annular discharge Holley, and after spending a year tuning the god-awful bog out of that dang-blasted Holley, it ran nearly identical times and MPH to the HO intake / SD Q-Jet setup. Live and learn . . . The 4-corner idle was kinda nice on that Holley, but other than that I wouldn't give you plug nickel for it.
