Default 1970 GTO Engine Harness Question

I am installing a new engine harness in my 1970 GTO, automatic with AC and HEI modification. The new harness has this connector that my old harness does not. I cannot find anything on the wiring diagram that calls it out, so can someone tell me what it connects to? I have attached a picture from a catalog (not the actual harness). My harness has the same connector with blue and black wires, but without the resistor or diode thing between them.

Thanks
