Need 400, prefer 1967 WS block for GTO 400HO, new acquisition
My buddy recently brought a beautiful 1967 4-speed 400HO red/black vinyl/black interior Fremont Goat home. Interesting option list: 4 drum manual brakes, power windows, am/fm reverb, rally dash. Maybe someone here owned it or worked on the resto.
He'd like to get a '67 WS block for it, casting 9786133 should be correct, I believe. Preferably already built with forged pistons, but any state will be considered. PM me and don't wait, he wants the car for Spring, natch. OR, if someone in the Northeast has any built-right 400 short or longblock with forgies that you are willing to let go inexpensively in the interim, that would be worth considering while the search continues.
