Poll: Type of Distributor/Ignition in Your Street Pontiac
What kind of distributor or ignition system are you all running in your street Pontiac?
Some of the choices posted are a bit exotic or more race-oriented, but I know there are some of you here who do like to push the envelope a bit. Here are the poll choices: 1.) None - Coil Over Plug 8.) Crank Trigger 9.) Magneto 10.) Other Thanks for voting! |

I've re-fitted HEI's into all my old GM cars. Zero failures. And one less thing to stress about.
Mechanical advance stop installed with a modified adjustable vacuum can.

Was running just a mechanical advance MSD Pro Billet with a standard 6AL ignition box. But now going with a locked out distributor and a programmable 6AL box to have full control of the ignition curve.

I have an HEI rebuilt with a H-0 Racing distributor kit with their 14° vacuum advance in my 1971 GP Th400, and have original points in my 1962 Catalina 389ci with the slimjim, both work seamless!

Aftermarket HEI disty, with module removed, triggering MSD 6AL.
I've used the Pertronix before, too.
