Question on Evans impellars/New info from Evans
Been doing a lot of searching here lately on the latest on water pumps for a couple of my projects that need to run extra cool for A/C here in a hot area.
Found that Evans and Flowkooler are both known for upgraded impellars, and the PRW seems to be popular as well. Question is whether the Evans impellar is THAT MUCH better? I just talked to them about the unavailability of their pumps today and inquired on whether I could send mine in and have it done. They put me on with their rebuilder guy Dave Wright and he says he can do that as long as the casting is good and that it has the 1-1/2" bearing and not the 1-3/8 bearing that isn't available to him. I'm willing to go this route if it's a lot better, otherwise I'd rather have aluminum. How do the 3 compare? |

I have a couple of the Evans 69-up style Evans water pumps (that I am very happy with) that have a reverse rotation corvette style impeller that will move a lot of water.
Since the corvette impeller was factory designed and Evans modded it for my application, I feel that "GM Impeller" will work well for my Supercharged applications in my vehicles. So the issue I see is who designed the upgraded impeller for Evans or did they do it "in house"? Tom V.
